If the Connect button cannot be clicked, please try these methods:

  • If this is your first visit, you might receive a notice about installing the 'Remote Desktop ActiveX Control' from 'Microsoft Windows Publisher'. Please answer it by choosing Install or Yes, and then try connecting again. Note: you might need to refresh this page to get it to re-appear.
     
  • If you see a yellow Information Bar at the top of this page, you need to click on it and choose Install ActiveX Control... before you will receive the notice mentioned above. Please refer to the following images for guidance:


    1. Click the Information Bar.


    2. Choose Install ActiveX Control...
     
  • Try putting our website in your 'trusted sites'. Here are the steps to do it:
    1. With this page active, go to Tools > Internet Options using the menu.
    2. Go to the Security tab, then click on the Trusted sites icon.
    3. Click the Sites... button.
    4. Make sure the Require server verification... option is unchecked.
    5. In the Add this Web site... textbox, type in www.lightning-bolt.com.
    6. Click the Add button.
    7. Click the Close button and then the OK button to exit.
    8. Click the Refresh button on the toolbar, or press F5.
    9. Try connecting again.
       
  • If you are still unable to connect, please contact our technical support.

An alternate way to connect to our servers is by downloading and installing the Remote Desktop Client, which is available for Windows, MacintoshLinux, or iOS for iPad/iPhone.
