Software Developer

Lightning Bolt Solutions (www.lightning-bolt.com) is a growing, profitable startup that offers web-based software solutions for healthcare staff scheduling using cutting edge Artificial Intelligence and Operations Research methodologies.

We're looking for a motivated developer to help design and develop the user interface for the next generation of our automated scheduling system. You'll work with a small, talented team to brainstorm, prototype, and implement new ideas. Ideally, you've already built awesome web apps on your own that look and work great. More details below.

Who we're looking for:

• BS or MS in Computer Science.
• Highly motivated and passionate about your work; you take pride in what you do.
• Must be a team player.
• Ability to quickly ramp up on new languages and technologies.
• Quality- and detail-oriented.
• Interested in working in the healthcare space.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where ideas are turned into implementations in a matter of hours/days.
• Excellent communication (oral/written) and problem solving skills.
• 3-5 years professional experience with Ruby on Rails, databases (MySQL/SQL Server), and scripting (we like industry experience but if you're a solid fresh grad, we'll consider.
• Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, HTML/HTML5 is a huge plus!
