Lightning Bolt releases NSight Beta

Lightning Bolt NSight is the result of several years of research and development to improve the core scheduling engine to produce better schedules, and also improve the functionality in our web-based system. You will find more details below on the changes and new features in NSight, which include a better auto-scheduling engine, mobile calendar subscriptions, automated forgotten username and password recovery, and several user interface and usability improvements including a new Dashboard and online help. As part of our effort to improve our service, the Lightning Bolt website (the pre-login part) is also receiving a facelift and will better reflect our new product and the services that we offer.

New features in Lightning Bolt NSight:

   * Auto-scheduling: Better auto-scheduling engine “underneath the hood” that's capable of handling more complex requirements.

   * Mobile calendar subscriptions: Ability to subscribe to Lightning Bolt calendars via iPhone/iPad, Android-based devices, Mac iCal, Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook or any other calendaring system that supports the iCal format.

   * Forgotten username/password recovery: Ability to recover your forgotten username or password.

   * Usability improvements: Several user interface and usability improvements including a new Dashboard, and "My Account" section where you can change settings like your email, default post-login landing page, etc.

   * Password security enhancements: To improve security, we have new password requirements. If your password does not meet the requirements, you'll be prompted to change it to a more secure password.

   * Online help: We have a new section with FAQs and help topics to familiarize you with the new features. Look for the "Help" link on the top right corner of your screen. This is a work-in-progress and we'll be adding more to this section soon.
