Lightning Bolt releases new NSight User Interface

Based on the feedback received from beta participants, Lightning Bolt releases the NSight User Interface with better performance and several feature enhancements. With this release, all of our clients will now enjoy several new features introduced in NSight, including: 

• Unprecedented control: You now have more ways than ever to customize the display of schedule calendars, request calendars, and reports. View schedule data not only by assignment, by personnel, or by date but as compact columns or blocks of weeks. Show or hide pending swaps, granted/pending/denied requests, pre-swap data, blank rows, holiday names, and more. Drag and drop personnel or assignments to change their order.
• Personal and "Me" views: Administrators can create calendar "views" for everyone to use, but anyone can also create and save their own views. Admins can also create a single view for all users to see just their own schedule.
• Vacation Request Manager: Let our software impartially manage the vacation request process. Set up “rounds” during which each physician has a certain number of days to make his or her requests before others jump in. You can have each person automatically notified by e-mail when it is their turn.
• Flexible subscriptions: Subscribe to any schedule, be it your own or that of your entire department. Choose which personnel and assignments to include, and the data is synched to your iCal-compatible calendar program on any platform—iPhone, iPad, Android, BlackBerry, Mac, Windows.
• Request finder: Use the Find Requests dialog to see the existing requests or the available days for a given personnel and a given assignment. Existing requests are counted and tallied up by status.
• Intuitive, tool-based workflow: Make requests and swaps by clicking on the calendar with easy-to-understand tools. “Paint” the calendar to request multiple days. Administrators get additional tools to approve and deny requests.
• WYSIWYG output: Print, save as PDF, or export to Microsoft Office any calendar or report. The contents, layout and style of the output precisely match the current view.
• Automatic page breaks: When printing a schedule calendar or saving it as PDF, choose automatic page breaks to split up tall months across consistently scaled pages.
• Fixed headers option: Scroll vertically and horizontally through large calendars and reports while the headings and labels stay in place.

In addition, Lightning Bolt will continue the beta program by introducing changes to the administrative user interface to selected beta users. These beta features include:

• Step-by-step and advanced modes: The administration setup process allows first-time administrators to select a step-by-step mode that will guide them through a wizard. Advanced mode is offered for experienced administrators to quickly navigate and complete their tasks.
• List views: Each administrative section is presented in a list view that allows you to filter and sort entries to narrow down your selection.
• Mass updates: Each administrative section provides certain actions that can be applied to multiple items, allowing for quick updates.
